Goals and Tasks of the Kulturgüterverein ("Association of Cultural Treasures and Monuments") of Klausen / Chiusa
The Kulturgüterverein ("Association of Cultural Treasures and Monuments") of Klausen / Chiusa was founded in 1998 as a voluntary association. According to its articles, it has the following objectives:

Carrying out initiatives, studies, and exhibitions concerning town history, its cultural monuments, and sites of natural beauty

Use of restored rooms for cultural purposes, e.g. concerts, lectures, exhibitions, congresses, etc.

To increase the awareness of the populace for the history of the old part of town and for its historical monuments

Opening artistic monuments for visitors

Presenting the historical center of town for inhabitants and visitors (city guided tours, tours of individual places of interest, theme-based tours, Cultural Guide, QR - Codes)

Restoring small works of art (grave markers, monuments, chapels, shrines, etc.)

In addition to contributions from the public sector, the cultural goods association is primarily dependent on financial support from companies and private individuals.
Our projects, such as the "Audio Guide Säben – Holy Mountain" (2024) and the brochure "The cultural treasures of Klausen" (2026), were made possible through the generous support of the Stiftung Südtiroler Sparkasse and AUTONOMEN PROVINZ BOZEN - SÜDTIROL Amt für Kultur, Department of Culture.
